Three years ago we invited Food for Lane County to use our library -Springfield Public Library - as a site for their free summer lunches for kids program. This has proven to be a great partnership. Along with our free and inclusive Summer Reading program, we are able to provide a full opportunity for kids, ages from birth to 18 to get both nutritious food and literacy opportunities. Youth of any economic level are able to participate in both programs.
