on Changing Child Sex Crime Law

This is Brian, I was on at the end of the show ... I just wanted to end with this: A statute of limitations on sex crimes means that the perpetrators can look forward to a day when they're free from the threat of being arrested and charged.

I have no such statute of limitations on my memory; I am affected by this in some way most days, especially when it's in the news.  Even after years of counseling.  Yes, I cope ... but I still remember.

Thank you so much for this program.  The more light we shed on this crime, the more people become aware, the more pressure we put on people to behave themselves.

on Changing Child Sex Crime Law

I am a survivor of sexual abuse while attending a catholic seminary in the Los Angeles area.  As a former non-believer in repressed memories, I can personally attest to the fact that these crimes are so incideous, that, as a young person, our minds 'deal' with this trauma in many different ways.  For that reason, I believe there should be no statute of limitations for these crimes.  Thank you for this show; I will call in tomorrow morning to give a brief account of how my memory was jogged back to those terrible times.

on Obama's Popularity

I think Obama is doing as great a job as he can with so many working to undermine him rather than work with him to achieve COLLECTIVE solutions/strategies.

It's Republicans and Democrats that are NOT doing their job.  Republicans are hell bent on making sure he's not re-elected; Democrats are hell bent on discrediting Republicans.  BOTH parties need to stop acting like kids not getting their way and begin doing what we need them to do: UNITE and SUCCEED!

There's a great saying: "If divided we stand, united we'll fall!".  Republicans and Democrats are NOT looking for COLLECTIVE solutions, rather, they're bolstering their own ideas to enhance themselves.

I would be able to support congress and senate actions if they truly worked for collective solutions, rather than "either - or".

Kudos to John Kitzhaber for setting the stage for collective solutions!

on Red Light Cameras

I too was 'caught' at Foster & 96th.  My daughter and I were on our way to a funeral of a very close friend killed in a plane crash.  To answer a couple questions:  the light had been yellow for 4 seconds, red for 0.23 seconds when I entered the intersection.  My daughter's picture is clearly visible in the photo.

Great show, thanks for all that you do!
