To your guest Kayse,
I am Somali living in Oregon. I do agree with you that we--Somali youth- have problems namely discrimation on the bases of religion and race;however, I don't think this can be changed both in the short and long term simply because people won't welcome blacks or Muslims. The only thing we Somalis can do is to learn to live with this society. You can't become " American" by simply saying " I am proud American."

Some pundits seperate the so-called Somali Banuts from the rest of the Somalis because they believe they are ' not historically Muslims" Therfore they " need our help." What about the rest? This is a true religous discrimation comes from the West and Westerns. Good example of this is Southern Sudanees vs the Norther Sudanees. They love the Southern Sudanes simpily because they are not MUSlims. Please stop dividing people or hating Muslims on the bases of their faith.

Hi,
I am Somali myself and have lived in Oregon since 2006. Even since I came here in Oregon, I haven’t seen Somalis making any problems to this country. And for the case of Mohamed Osman, I think it is a fabricated story that has no legal grounds whatsoever. It just serves the best interest of security agencies, politicians, media pundits, and NGOs who make a living for the so-called "home-grown terrorism." That said, Mohamed seems to me someone who is not mentally stable. If he hates this country, whatever the reason might be, he could simply go to somewhere else.
