on The Biomass Question
Exactly, this is another scheme to keep us Addicted to the "grid" of unfortunately mostly dirty, toxic, lethal fuels. GM is more than aware of this, because they designed the "fastest Solar Car" ever in 1987.
It is very possible to design a "closed system" by recharging the battery with solar directly off the hood of the vehicle.
"Big Business" really does not want us to be "self-reliant" because it "kills" this devouring model of "CAPITALISM".

on The Biomass Question
With my tax dollars, I definitely do not support burning wood, "garbage", and another invasive species such as "Arundo Donax" or "giant cane" into an incinerator as a source of "electricity". There are so many other demands for wood waste, such as chip board, landscaping mulch, natural release of nutrients, pulp, etc.
Biomass burning is an extremely insatiable model which requires enormous mass to keep this Beast fed. The dependency on Massive amounts of materials at the rate that reproducing humans consume is not sustainable. Once we invest $Billions, it will be another trap as it is with fossil fuels and "forest farming".
Also, we need to Allow Our Forests to Heal for this is an extremely complex Ecosystem that is Our Greatest Carbon Sink and source of Oxygen. We could never afford to replace what we've already been given on this most unique planet.
The highest priorities for energy demands are:
1) reduce consumption,
2) increase energy efficiency usage.
3) invest and develop more Clean, Safe, Abundant energy systems such as Solar, Wind, and Hydro.
With time, focus and funds we have the potential to store and meet the base load of these sources. There are many places on this earth that are exposed to full on sun or wind most of the time.
It is critical to factor in all Costs, especially the Health of Our Planet and Lives.

on Kicking Off A New Session
Unfortunately, we have procrastinated 30 years and are now faced with the Greatest Paradigm Shift in this 21st Century. We have dangerously exploited and exhausted our most complex resources and must Urgently take Bold steps to Embrace a "New System".
The most Important area to address which will naturally cover a wide array of "Needs" is that of Appropriate Clean, Safe, Renewable Energy. Energy in the forms of Wind, Solar, Hydro, Electric vehicles, Bio-diesel from Algae, Industrial Hemp seed oil and recycled food oils, Ethanol from perennial grasses, cat tails, and stale bread and pastries, are a few of the more sustainable and efficient sources of energy.
At the same time, We need to carefully evaluate the consequences that come with subsidizing the "Burning of Bio-mass" or "wood" from our exhausted complex Ecological Forests which are our largest Carbon Sink on the Planet. The Eastern States are already experiencing the pollution and severe problems that come with this practice. We have to take into account that the "Insatiable dependence and demands" on our complex forests and the mechanical equipment to intensively burn materials for "electricity" are very costly on many levels. It is essential to explore and take all costs into the equation.
Fortunately, we do have Better Choices.
Taking the path of "Clean, Safe, Renewable Energy", will naturally lead to a Healthier Planet, Jobs and more Sustainable Future. We absolutely can not Afford to Compromise any further in the direction of Destroying Our only Home this Earth. It is not worth the Gamble of high Risks by continuing to subsidize "Dirty, Toxic, Lethal Fuels". Once our very "complex ecosystems and food systems" are destroyed, We will perish.
The only way we are going to allow our Forests to heal and mature is to wean and renew our relationship with some of the most Practical and Versatile plants that have been used for centuries. One, that was recently passed with a bill initiated by Floyd Prozanski is that of "Industrial Hemp". As of yet, the Federal Government and DEA have not yet realized the Potential of this most Economical and Promising Plant as a tangible Solution for Jobs. Energy, Structural Materials, Fibers, Solvents, and Complete Nutritional food needs.
Another, would be investing in the testing to make use of our Noxious Invasive Plant species such as "Scotch Broom, English Ivy, and Blackberries" for our growing demands and needs.
We are facing ever greater demands with Exponential figures rising with population explosion, economical and environmental concerns. More than ever, we need to "Think Outside the Typical Model or System" that no longer serves our needs.

on Candidate Conversation: John Kitzhaber
During this Greatest Paradigm Shift ever in the 21st Century, are you in support of encouraging and emphasizing the bill Floyd Prozansky introduced to encourage the local farming of Hemp which would help take the demands off our exhausted forests, our oil addiction, and countless other needs while creating productive and promising jobs here starting in the State of Oregon?
If so, how can we make this a real possible incentive for farmers to successfully put into practice?

on Rx: The Final Health Care Bill
Letter I mailed,
Dear President Obama and Congress of the United/Divided States of America,
Once again, We've compromised too much. Without a Public Option, there is no competition for the Insurance Companies. They will only prosper further with a mandated Client Base and Government Subsidies. We are very disappointed that we don't have the "Single Payer System" and now no Public Option. Most of us still don't understand the entire Complex Bill. I'd strongly suggest to make this clear and simple each step of the way and vote incrementally on key segments of the bill, so that we are all more clear and informed with each step.
Ultimately, Preventative Health begins with a Healthy Planet. We are deeply frustrated and outraged with allocating more funds towards "Dirty Fossil Fuels and Lethal Toxic Uranium, along with other highly radioactive chemicals. We haven't even dealt with millions of gallons of the deadly waste that is leaching into ground water and into our Bio-Rich Water System. It is extremely irresponsible to put our lives and health at RISK especially when we have a tremendous source of knowledge and evidence of where this path takes us. This is true "Terrorism".
Simply stated, "Toxins and Poisons equal Sickness, Death and Bankruptcy".
Please look at the Entire Costs, The Entire Risks, of Energy Choice that affects All Health or "Life" on this living Planet.
Please direct Excessive Corporate Dollars first and then wisely Our Hard Earned Dollars urgently towards Cleaning up the Toxins.
We do have Healthy Solutions. We have so much Potential to make "Wise Decisions", but We only have a very narrow Window to make "Appropriate Transition".
Thank You for listening and hopefully Speaking for the "Common Good" for All Life on this intricately Connected Planet of Life.
Frustrated yet still Hopeful,
We are informed and very concerned.
