The false numbers involved with circulation in the Oregonian are at best a scam to sell advertising add revenue. The Oregonian circulation department would gladly give the paper away for free so that the numbers of papers printed can be shown to potential advertisers for higher add costs.

On another note most the money recieved from papers have been derived from the classified adds. Craigslist has singlehandedly shot the paper industry in the foot.

My disabled daughter was sexually assaulted at the age of 9 by her cousin who was 14 years old. We notified the police and the crime was investigated. The perpitrator admited the crime through a letter to us which he called his "little problem". He has never ever felt sorry.

I spoke to the DA a few years ago to see if the perpitrator had undergone any type of therapy. He explained that the mother was no help and their was nothing they could do. He did explain that most sex offenders never get better.

If he would have been 15 years old he would have recieved more punishment.

In later years my family has been black listed from family functions including a recent funeral of my wifes stepdad. Since they would rather invite the perpitrator to family events then us.

When a sex crime happens no one cares about the victom. Its almost as it was their fault. Now I am happy to have no contact with my inlaws since they have bad moral judgement, but I feel there is no accountability in society in general.

Everytime something tragic like this happens the media goes overboard. What about the thousands of people who die at the hands of the medical profession. Doctors get sued not put in jail.

I was raised as a Christian Scientist and still attend a Christian Science church. I was never vaccinated as a youth and have had a healthy life with many healings. My children attend church but I have chosen to vaccinate them. I feel that prayer will always be my first choice in treating sickness and with prayer no ill effect can come from vaccines that may as some believe have harmfull effects ie..autism etc..

As a society the medical profession is a strong force. In my life I need a healthy balance and tend to try to see through the mental haze of sickness and death.
