I'm a jazz musician and composer based in Corvallis, and have been collaborating with rappers and turntablists for the last decade or so, primarily in the Eugene-based band Eleven Eyes. We were allegedly the first band to feature an MC at legendary Portland jazz club Jimmy Mak's.

I think Oregon's hip-hop scene is pretty exciting right now. We were just a part of a huge show in Bend with local group Person People. I think there are lots of possibilities for collaboration between hip hop artists and musicians of other genres that are unique to this area. It's a great time to be making this music.
