Thanks for posting these photographs, I enjoyed the broadcast that followed. However, you made a rather bold yet obviously incorrect statement, and echo that here on this page. I'll correct you by pointing out that Kenneth Arnold's sighting, which did indeed 'spark the ufo craze', was of a formation of small, fast-moving, boomerang-shaped objects that "moved across the sky like a saucer on water", i.e. smoothly, as though on liquid. He was not referring to their shape in any way as being saucer-like. So your theory here is embarrassingly off the mark. Lastly, it's somewhat offensive to say that anyone, especially a private pilot, wouldn't recognize even a lenticular cloud as anything but a cloud! They're the reason we fly!
