Starkmojo's comments:

on Congress, Rural Style

There is a lot more to Portland than "going to a night club"- Art Museum, Japanese Gardens, Last Thursday, the Central Library, Saturday Market.

Way to show how you really feel about Portland with that comment.

on Congress, Rural Style

I am not a fan of rural oregon residents vote being worth more than mine.

on Congress, Rural Style

It seems that Rural Oregon is to some extent in a boat of it's own building- for years Rural Oregon has used the timber money to fund basic services, instead using it to keep taxes low. It would have been better to develop ways to replace the old economy with a new one. That being said what sort of development are rural Oregonians looking for beyond a return to old (unsustainable) logging and building homes for rich Californians?

on HIV Testing and Informed Consent

Your daughter aside- how many people who discover that they have HIV thought their partner was faithful?

on HIV Testing and Informed Consent

Hi Frank,
In some locations, the fastest growing part of the HIV population are women who have sex with men who engage in high risk activities. They are at risk without knowing it.

on HIV Testing and Informed Consent

My concern is that simply getting for tested for HIV can effect your health insurance costs- because I have been told by Doctor's office's that simply getting tested infers that you are involved in risky behaviors.

I get tested (annonomously) every year at Planned Parenthood. Because knowing is key.

Thank you for bringing up this subject.

on Clinton and the Generational Gender Divide

I am a 39 yo mad, and I will start by saying that I think both Mrs. Clinton and Mr. Obama are both excellent candidates, and think either would make a great president. From my perspective it is my duty to vote for the candidate who I believe will best represent our country for the next four years. For myself I have come to the decision that Mr. Obama is the best choice.

I dont think that gender has really played as a part in my decision- it is the result of listening to the candidates words, evaluating their decisions in the past.
