The book, "Our Stolen Future," called a sequel to Rachael Carson's "Silent Spring," cited medical teams that were observing endocrine disruption in fetal brain development due to the presence of persistent chemicals in our global food chain. It was stated there that the effects of these hormone mimics would masculinize the female embryo and feminize the male embryo.
