I am wondering if the state special education system is aware of and/or utilizing programs that are based on current brain/neuroscience research?
There is a Utah company that has developed a training program for students with learning disabilities that is quite successful. It "reprograms" or "rewires" the brain much like stroke rehabilitation methods - resulting in incremental increases in neurological development in those areas of the brain that are essential to effective learning.
