I couchsurfed to the Experimental Airplane Association convention in Oshkosh, had a blast.  

I think it requires you to pull out all of what you learned from your parents, be polite, help out to keep things clean, maintain the trust.  Leave a gift upon departure.

It's really a neat experience in the USA.

Sorry but blah, blah, blah, "doom and gloom" it's turned into a media spin. A depression is also when people are depressed, stop wishing for it. Everyone needs to get over the news and roll their sleeves up and get too work. Our work in recycling and manufacturing is booming, process upgrade lead-times are growing, fuel prices are down, even on the world economy $4 a gallon is 75% of the "real" price.

And yes, we have fleeced most of our easy money makers, US Manufacturing is the biggest mistake, then we tried to make money off of money, then we fleeced our homes, time to "pay the piper" in taxes, so stop the whining and get to work! Ride your bike! And smile!

I just got this off the BBC "Two aides to Republican John McCain resign over ties to lobbyists who represented Burma's military junta."

I have been educated in the military, but never served. War is a result of going over and past sane discussion, so now with his experience in killing and pain, the waste of it all, why does he continue to hang out with military politicians. It's gross, move on.
