Corvallis has Alley Art! In the downtown area there are small sculptures, tiles, photos and even poems gracing the walls or near the walls of alleyways. Some are whimsical and some are just pleasant art. In times that are economically hard on people, the things that uplift us are often neglected. I support public art, but realize that not all art is appealing to everyone. Public art benefits more people if it is visually appealing and truly fits the space - and does not cause more confusion than delight.
