on Cemetery Life

I've read with interest many newspaper articles that have discussed the focus on maintaining and preserving our cemeteries. I have a landscaping background and would like to participate in the future at a local cemetery.

on Measures 63 and 64

I will vote YES for both 63 and 64. I believe we should be able to do home improvements to a certain dollar limit. I agree in the premise of 64. If you want to donate political funds do so directly.

on Washington Initiative #1029: Homecare Workers

I did listen in on that program and I thought it was well done. My heart went out to those dedicated home care providers. I went through something similar in trying to provide home care support for my wife when she was dealing with advanced stage breast cancer and chemo-therapy treatments. The pain medication program was very difficult/frustrating to deal with and I was very grateful to the pharmacists? that assisted me during that time period. I believe there should be back-ground checks and more training for those workers.

on Candidate Conversation: U.S. Senator

I did listen in and I thought Jeff Merkley came across as a very viable candidate. I appreciated your on air comment that SEN Gordon Smith declined your invitation to visit the program and I was disappointed that Gordon Smith failed to avail himself of that opportunity to present himself and to give the audience a more balanced program and discussion.

on Measures 57 and 61: Crime and Punishment

I believe 57 is the safer of the two measures when the ruling exists that if both get over 50% of the votes, the one with the most votes passes.
