I was wondering if anyone has ever considered just pulling that pipe out of the ocean floor and let mother nature heal the hole. It reminds me of a syringe where the plunger came out and the puncture is bleeding. Perhaps they don't want to lose that part of their investment in this well? Also, how much of the toxic dispersant will be taken into the atmosphere through evaporation or storms and spread by rain over much more of the country than just the Gulf Coast?
