A geologist could explain this better than I can, but just think of this state and its clay soils west of the Cascades (that I've seen turn to jelly in small eathquakes) and its waterways.  Oregon is crisscrossed by rivers.  And then consider the volcanic Cascade mountains (I was driving south from the San Juans close to Mt St. Helens when it blew in 1980). 

Anyone with any vision for future generations in this state or anyone who has heard about the existing LNG pipelines that  develop leaks with dire repercussions for miles around or anyone who thinks there might be an earthquake in Oregon in the future couldn't possibly support these pipelines.  It isn't common sense.  We need off this merry-go-round of fossil fuels.  No transition.  Cold turkey.

How about doing a show on imported LNG? Oregon LNG? It is a large controversy here in Oregon and so far, OPB only takes the under-writing side of Oregon LNG. For this reason, OPB has lost many long time supporters.

My dad just died at age 91 one week and one day after being diagnosed with lung cancer. Before Hospice arrived, he was in a lot of pain, with much anxiety and unable to sleep. Hospice was a godsend. I am so thankful to them for managing his pain and anxiety and allowing him to sleep. My husband and I were still enjoying my dad's wit and humor 5 days before he died. Three days before he died he told me he hoped he would go fast. He did go fast.

I think some Dr.s have a hard time diagosing a terminal illness - they thought my dad had pneumonia in December and gave him antibiotics. He suffered bad pain for about 13 days before the Drs finally diagnosed him and got hospice involved.
