My late stepfather, the New York Review of Books caricaturist David Levine, was a great admirer of Bill Plympton's work. I remember going home to New York about twelve years, and practically before I was in the apartment, Dave saying to me, "You have to see this." It was a compilation of Plympton's animation -- I recall "How to Kiss" was on it. Dave and I watched, and he just kept laughing and pointing out all the wonderful and smart things about it.
