on Cracking Down on Heroin

I have lost 5 friends in England since 2000 due to Heroin overdoses. These have not been homeless people, my friends were married with houses and had families.

The cost per gram of H in England seems to have dropped to half since the late 90's and the purity has doubled. Pretty much tracking the market forces at work with the computer chip: half the price and twice as fast.

I think after two children the Government tax credit should go away because after two children, someone other than just Mom and Dad is assisting with the children and why?.

If you have nine children to keep the farm going, then the farm needs to make money to pay for the outgoings of the family.

I have yet to see a rear window graphic showing Mom, Dad, and three to four children plus a kite and a dog on a Prius while stuck in traffic on Hwy26 on my motorcycle. It is usually on a Chevy Suburban or Tahoe. Right there is a carbon footprint impact.

Look People...

Being here from the Uk since 1993, I am amazed at the amount of tax dollars spent on Mt. Hood Rescue/Recover missions every year?

Hey, here's a plan, not unlike the UK. If you are going to climb a tall mountain or engage in a sport that 99% of the gen pop do not engage in....you have to pay a premium for risk/adrenalin.

I think if you are going to climb/explore/off piste snow shoe on Mt. Hood in Oregon once you need chains and a snow permit, then you need to pay a bond to cover the recovery costs that drain my freakin income taxes from the State of Oregon should you become lost/need assistance to save your bottom! Should you descend the mountain in good health, then you have a no use no fee clause and and you are elligible for a 90% back perhaps of the bond?

I love to watch racing motorcycles. Should I choose to race a motorcycle at PIR in 2010, I will have to purchase additional medical insurance as the insurance from my small business employer will not pay for my off road racing accident costs. 99% of the population choose not to race motorcyles....nor climb a snow covered mountain in the winter months!

See where I am coming from?

Fail to plan, plan to fail, REME.

on The TOL Site, 2.0

Call in phone number should be displayed on the site clearly.
What is the limit of characters per post? Perhaps let folks know easily.
Good show and the site will improve, hang in there and get the site development team working on upgrades/bug fixes right away or folks will not bother to post, IMHO.
Cheers,

on Unemployment: Regional Ripples

I was managed out of a company in November 2008 and I am denied Unemployment Insurance payments. I have had zero income to live on since November 8th 2008. I may be homeless by March 2009. I can not even get into the food stamp program it seems either...It is grim right now..there

PS...this site needs to post the 888 number for the show somewhere...I can not find the darn thing.
