A white man has been charged with fatally shooting a Black teenager in an Ashland hotel parking lot last week. Robert Paul Keegan has been charged with second-degree murder for the death of Aidan Ellison, 19, who was shot after the two argued over music played in Ellison’s car. A vigil is being held for Ellison today at the Jackson County Courthouse. We talk with Precious Edmonds, a spokesperson for Southern Oregon Black Leaders, Activists and Community Coalition (SOBLACC) and Kokayi Nosakhere, a member of the Truth and Conciliation Council.
