Lawmakers are working on a proposal that would extend the state’s eviction moratorium. Currently it’s set to expire at the end of the year. The new proposal would allow renters to delay rent payments until June 30 and not be evicted from their homes. The proposal also creates a fund for landlords whose tenants cannot pay rent. Democratic state Rep. Julie Fahey is the chair of the House housing committee.
