Oregon Ducks headed to Holiday Bowl, Beavers to Las Vegas Bowl

With the college football regular season about wrapped up on Saturday, fans awaited news of where their favorite teams might go for their bowl game.

The Oregon Ducks will face the North Carolina Tar Heels in the Holiday Bowl in San Diego on Dec. 28th, it was announced Sunday. The Oregon State Beavers, meanwhile, will square off against the Florida Gators in the Las Vegas Bowl on Dec. 17th.

Also Sunday, the two national semifinals were set. No. 1 Georgia will meet No. 4 Ohio State in the Peach Bowl in Atlanta, and No. 2 Michigan will meet No. 3 Texas Christian in the Fiesta Bowl in Glendale, Arizona. Both games will be played on Dec. 31, with the winners of the two games playing in the national championship final to be held nine days later.
