PDX-Brazil Productions presents a concert featuring choro music, a Brazilian instrumental musical genre that originated in 19th-century Rio de Janeiro. This will be a string-centric performance showcasing the works of many of Brazil's most important 20th century composers: Pixinguinha, Jacob do Bandolim, Villa-Lobos, and many more. Three acoustic acts (solo, duo, and trio) bring to life the intricate and sultry melodies of classic Choro, as well as pinch of other genres from Brazil.
