Colescott Rubin (upright bass and bass trombone) and Max Roark (flute, clarinet, tenor saxophone) are high school students, and part of Thara Memory’s prestigious American Music Program. They visited KMHD to discuss the discipline it takes to be a serious jazz musician, while still in high school. With high hopes and an insatiable love for music, they share their experiences and visions for, perhaps, a future life in jazz.
