A piano student since the age of five, Tony Pacini has been immersed in Jazz since the earliest days of his life. He began leading his first band while still in high school and performed at a local jazz spot. When not leading his own trio, he acts as musical director of the Mel Brown Quartet. He also teaches piano and hosts KMHD’s Jazz Connections every Sunday from 4 to 6 pm.

Pacini goes from DJ to story-teller in this segment of  A Jazz Life.  While he had many musical stories to share, he zeroed in on a tale of rubbing elbows with a Jazz icon about a non-musical hobby. Click below to hear the story.
