featuring The Nicole McCabe Quartet, Sept. 13th
Every second Friday of each month, Nicole McCabe will lead a quartet at Teutonic Wine Company. Nicole is a jazz alto saxophonist in Portland Oregon. Her influences include artists such as Cannonball Adderley, Kenny Garrett, Sonny Rollins, and many other artists rooted in the bebop and post bop era of jazz. She has performed along side some of Portland’s and beyond, most notable musicians such as Alan Jones, Joe Manis, Ron Steen, Charlie Porter and internationally known John Patitucci and Paquito D’Rivera. Nicole is also a teacher for the Musicality Company in Portland and teaches piano, clarinet, and saxophone regularly. Nicole has recently been offered a presidential scholarship for Berklee College of Music’s 5 week performance camp playing in the first year of the Women’s Performance Program ran by Terri Lyne Carrington.
Nicole McCabe Quartet features Jack Radsliff on guitar and Garrett Baxter on bass. Music will begin at 7:30 pm. $5 cover at the door. 21+ only.
