MAINLINE JAZZ EVERY WEDNESDAY
featuring Shuttleworth Radsliff Quartet, Sept. 11th
A transplant from the Pacific Northwest, now residing in Chicago, trombonist Chris Shuttleworth draws inspiration from both the landscapes of Oregon and Washington as well as the musical climate of Chicago Illinois. This quartet navigates Shuttleworth’s compositions freely and selflessly, creating music that feels both fresh and familiar.
Jack Radsliff is an Oregon-based guitarist and composer who strives to create accessible improvised music that is equal parts Jim hall and Bon Iver. Born and raised outside of San Francisco, Jack spent much of his youth soaking in the music of local singer songwriters and jazz musicians alike. After high school, Jack moved to Eugene to study at the university of Oregon. Jack currently resides in SW Portland, where he has started performing both as a sideman and bandleader.
Chris and Jack will be accompanied by Chris Higgins on bass and Michael Raynor on drums.
Music starts at 7:30 pm. We offer a small plate menu. $5 cover at the door. 21+ only.
