Tuesday, May 16 is the last day for Oregonians to consider a range of key measures on their local ballots.

In Multnomah County, the election will decide the fate of a $790 million bond for Portland Public Schools, the largest in state history. Voters will also choose three new members for the Portland school board.

Education will also be on the minds of voters in Deschutes County, where there is a $268 million bond on the ballot for the Bend-La Pine School District.

Southern Oregon voters in Josephine County will weigh in on regulating recreational marijuana and different tax measures for county services, such as hiring additional firefighters and funding local libraries.

Election officials say Josephine County has a nearly 29 percent turnout so far. Those numbers are far outpacing other counties in more populated parts of the state. Multnomah County is reporting less than 15 percent and Deschutes County is reporting 19.6 percent.

While the deadline to mail your ballot has passed, voters have until 8 p.m. on May 16 to walk in their ballots at official drop sites.
