After selling stock to the public, which raised $19.5 million, Eugene electric vehicle maker Arcimoto is gearing up for production in its newly leased Eugene factory.

Arcimoto has leased 30,000 square feet in a warehouse at West Second Avenue and Garfield Street, near the company’s Whiteaker-area headquarters.

“It gives us a lot of room for future growth,” company founder and President Mark Frohnmayer said in an interview Friday.

Arcimoto plans to ramp up production gradually at the factory to produce 10,000 vehicles a year in 2019, he said.
