The U.S. Geological Survey reported a 3.8 magnitude earthquake shook west of the Oregon coast Saturday morning.

The epicenter was 41 kilometers west of Waldport. The quake was about 37 kilometers deep, according to the USGS.

The quake produced little to no shake along the coast. The USGS categorized the quake’s impact as weak to light, with scant chance of causing any damage.
