Eugene City Councilor Betty Taylor is fuming over the Eugene Airport’s decision not to include its photo of noted author and radio personality Garrison Keillor in the reinstalled “flying people” exhibit.

But City Manager Jon Ruiz has responded that the city will keep the Keillor photo out of public view for the time being.

Both Ruiz and Mayor Lucy Vinis left open the possibility of the city reinstalling the Keillor photo in the future at the city-owned airport.

Minnesota Public Radio announced last month it had fired Keillor, the creator and former host of “A Prairie Home Companion,” for inappropriate behavior with a woman. Keillor admitted to touching the woman’s bare back.
