Oregon Gov. Kate Brown has ordered all flags at public institutions throughout Oregon to be lowered to half-staff immediately until Thursday, Nov. 19 at sunset to honor the victims of the attacks in Paris.

"I am sickened and profoundly saddened by the violence inflicted on the people of Paris, France. Those responsible must be brought to justice, and we must stand together as a nation and as members of a global community united against terrorism," she said in a statement.
