Residents in the Willamette Valley woke up to a slightly hazy sky this morning after smoke from wildfires drifted over the area overnight.
Air quality observations in the Willamette Valley dropped to ratings of “moderate” and “unhealthy for sensitive groups” by early morning.
While winds are expected to continue, the National Weather Service forecast indicates wind direction will likely continue to bring wildfire smoke into the area until at least Wednesday evening. The smoke may also knock down the high temperature a degree or two.
