Krista Parent no longer has a job as the superintendent of the South Lane School District.
The South Lane School Board unanimously approved a motion Tuesday night that ousted Parent from her position and appointed Kyle Tucker as acting superintendent.
Parent officially will retire June 30. She will remain an employee of the district but will work “independently off-site on special projects as needed and requested, and assist in smoothly transitioning the district to new leadership,” according to a statement read at the meeting by board Chairman Alan Baas.
Details of her retirement arrangement and her “off-site” responsibilities were not publicly released Tuesday.
