Political Chat: Despite Shut Down Threat, Oregon Politics Chug On

Even with the threat of a federal government shutdown, political work is getting done here and there.

In D.C., the U.S. House has passed a bill that will send some reduced “county payments,” as federal subsidies to timber-dependent counties have come to be known.

And there’s always election news — or at least, our political guys, Bill and Jeff, are always thinking about elections. They’re here for another look back at the political week.
