Political Chat: Obama Eases Pressure And What's Grover Norquist Been Smoking?

If you were listening carefully, you may have heard a sigh of relief this week from Oregon’s Congressional delegation.

President Obama addressed the nation on Tuesday about the possibility of airstrikes against Syria.  He had previously asked the Congress to give him authorization to do so, but a late-breaking diplomatic solution came up.

“I have therefore asked the leaders of Congress to postpone a vote to authorize the use of force while we pursue this diplomatic path.”

Meanwhile, one Oregon Congressman at least knows one person he won’t have to face off against in next year’s election.

And Congressman Earl Blumenauer and conservative tax activist Grover Norquist actually see eye-to-eye on something.
