Portland’s “green” practices have again been recognized.
A new study ties the city with Seattle and San Francisco as the No.1 “greenest” in the United States.
The study, by a Tufts University professor and the Canadian research company Corporate Knights Magazine, took a unique approach of ranking them by practices that the cities are taking instead of their eventual results.
The study also gave a nod to Portland Mayor Sam Adams.
He was singled out because of his work with curbside composting program, plastic bag ban, and student free transit programs.
