Orson Welles was born one hundred years ago this May 3rd.

To celebrate the radio pioneer and film actor’s birth, we asked the acting troupe of Tesla City Stories to join us.

TSC performs radio dramas, suspense thrillers and sitcoms from the golden age of the medium. They perform the first Sunday of every month at the Funhouse Lounge in Portland.

Director Brendan Jones, Producer Jerry Chrisman and Actor Cheryl Grant explained where they found the old radio scripts, and why it’s appealing as performers to re-enact them for a live audience.

Jones, Chrisman and Grant were then joined by TSC’s Lauren McCune, Mark Savage, and Kristi Lavato to perform their sitcom “The Off-Key Life of Viola Harper.”
