Eugene Urges ‘Civility’ During Friday’s Trump Visit And Rally

Worried about possible outbreaks of violence, Eugene police are taking a slew of precautions as they prepare for the arrival of GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump on Friday for a rally at the Lane Events Center.

Police said they are readying “for every possible outcome,” given the track record of clashes and protests at Trump campaign events.

Ambulances will be on standby, police said Friday.

Cars entering the fairgrounds parking lot will be screened for prohibited items.
