When you first see Arnold World’s flower sculptures, you wouldn’t think they are made of napkins. The intricately coiled stems and symmetrical petals appear to be folded together with wire and glue. But Mr. World will tell you it is much more simple. “We don’t fold, we roll,” he says.
He creates his artwork not in an art studio, but at a coffee table in Powell’s City of Books. He is there everyday rolling, creating and growing the energy he hopes to leave behind.
