Portland rock band Miss Rayon’s debut record comes out on Nov. 16, but you can hear the full release below.
Last year musician Eric Sabatino (Vexations, Cat Hoch Band, Appendixes) started Miss Rayon as a solo recording project and quickly put the finishing touches on a promising EP. That three song effort included a track called “Red Plum” that immediately caught our attention here in the opbmusic offices. In fact, we’re still spinning it on the opbmusic broadcast almost weekly.
Since then, the project has expanded and evolved with Sabatino adding veteran musicians Jenny Logan (Deathlist, Summer Cannibals, Sunbathe) and Hannah Blilie (The Gossip, Shoplifting, Vexations) to the lineup on bass and drums. Now the band is due to release their full-length debut record, “Eclipse,” this weekend. It’s a fierce collection of gloomy/glittery post punk songs spearheaded by the aforementioned “Red Plum.”
You can pre-order “Eclipse” here via XRAY Records.
Miss Rayon play an album release show at Black Water in Portland on Saturday, Nov. 17 along with WL and Conditioner.
