Eleven albums into his songwriting career, Ariel Pink still finds fresh ways to elicit surprise.
His new album, “Dedicated to Bobby Jameson,” was inspired by a bizarre real-life story of a reclusive Los Angeles artist, long presumed dead, who turned up very much alive in 2007 and began telling his tragic life story through a series of blogs and videos. Captivated by that story and its peculiar theme of rebirth, Ariel Pink penned a new collection of songs in his own theatrical and unpredictable way.
