For pop-rock outfit No Aloha, spring has truly sprung.
The group was featured on the 2019 PDX Pop Now! compilation in March, the annual coming out party for up and coming musicians in the Portland, Oregon, music scene. The band is set to release a much-anticipated new record, “Okay Alone,” on June 7 via Good Cheer Records, and they’ll cap it all off with a hometown album release show the following week, on June 12, at Mississippi Studios (along with The Fur Coats and Shadowgraphs).
And while the attention is rightly on No Aloha at the moment, the band’s lead singer Brette Irish is also quietly continuing work on a burgeoning solo career. The songwriter is set to release a solo album later this year and recently reissued her 2018 EP, “Capital Cities,” on tape. Watch Irish perform the subtly sweet song “Volcanoes,” recorded at Ivy League Recording by Banana Stand Media.
“Volcanoes” was performed by Brette Irish and was recorded on March 3, 2018. The video was shot and edited by Sky Scholfield. Audio for this video was recorded and mixed by Matt Thomson.
