Portland band Casey Neill & the Norway Rats have just released their third album, “Subterrene,” which Neill describes as a work of “dystopian romance” that seems to reference both a future world and current events. While the band’s long been a fixture of the Northwest Americana scene, the new record plugs in bolder arrangements that move between ballads and straight up rockers, bound together by Neill’s gritty voice.
We’re hosting a session with Casey Neill & the Norway Rats on Friday, April 27 at 6 p.m. PT at Kelly’s Olympian in downtown Portland. We’ll talk with the band about their new record, and they’ll play a set of new songs. You’re invited. Tickets are free but require an RSVP through our EventBrite page.
Casey Neill & the Norway Rats will play a full hometown show May 12 at the Alberta Rose Theater.
