Chan Marshall - aka Cat Power - encountered a major career turning point in 2014, when she returned home from the “Sun” record tour depressed and, she found out later, pregnant. Marshall says she considered stepping away from music entirely to start a life out of the spotlight. Instead she began recording a new batch of songs, with her newborn in tow, while working from her home base in Miami. She changed record labels, toured with Lana Del Rey, and eventually, released “Wanderer” last fall on Domino Records.
