We’re proud to co-host an event with NPR Music in October, “Please Hear My Music: How to Get on the Radio.”  It’s a panel discussion about how to get your music noticed (especially by the public radio/media community) as a musician. Guests include Maggie Vail of Cash Music, Bob Boilen of NPR Music and opbmusic’s Jerad Walker.  We’ll talk through ways artists can most effectively amplify their reach through public media platforms and other avenues to get their music in front of more listeners.

This event is Wednesday, October 3 at 7 p.m., at the Lagunitas Community Room  – 237 NE Broadway in Portland. It’s open to 21+ over. Tickets are available here.

This Tiny Desk Talk is part of a new series of events around the country by NPR Music, following on its very popular Tiny Desk Contest, with other talks aimed at recording, songwriting, music licensing and the art of making an album. The Tiny Desk Talks are designed to convene local communities of musicians, music lovers, public radio supporters and industry movers and shakers to talk about the challenges and opportunities in modern day music-making.
