Dan Auerbach‘s solo album “Waiting on a Song” is his love letter to Nashville, recorded with help from a long list of Nashville players from John Prine to Jerry Douglas. The breezy collection of songs seems tailored to summer, with songs like “Stand By My Girl” and the plucky, retro-sounding “Shine on Me” (which features a guest turn from Mark Knopfler). Auerbach wrote the album while taking a break from touring with The Black Keys and his ever-growing list of producer credits, on albums by Jake Bugg, Dr. Dog, JD McPherson and others.

For his new tour, Auerbach, Robert Finley and Shannon Shaw all play with the backing of the Easy Eye Sound house band, and Shannon and the Clams will open. They play Sunday, Feb. 11 at the Crystal Ballroom, and we’re giving away tickets.
