Swedish artist Daniel Norgren broke into the U.S. for the first time in 2016, when he played a pair of sets at Portland-area festival Pickathon. Norgren’s music seemed tailor-made for a summertime festival, where his slow-moving ballads could unroll at the pace of an August afternoon, and the band’s long jams could bounce off the forested boundaries until everyone was nodding along. Norgren’s developed a large following in Europe, but he’s a new find for North American audiences. Of his eight studio albums, only 2019’s “Wooh Dang” was released stateside.
