We’ve teamed up with Banana Stand Media this spring to premiere a series of videos recorded in and around Portland featuring Oregon-based musicians. Like opbmusic, Banana Stand is celebrating their 10th anniversary this year. In that decade, they’ve recorded and released nearly a hundred live concert albums from (mostly) local musicians and expanded rapidly into the realm of video production in recent years. Now, the DIY production company is one of the most prolific documentarians of Portland’s robust music scene.

The latest video in this series features the band Genders. This dreamy guitar rock song, “Never Belonged To You,” appeared on the group’s 2016 EP release, “Phone Home.”

“Never Belonged To You” was recorded before a live audience March 12, 2016 at Banana Stand in Portland, Oregon. The video features footage from camera operators Michael McInerney, Darren Hartman, Tyler Bertram, Guy Wagner and Sam Smith, and was directed and edited by Michael McInerney. Audio for this video recorded by Tim Shrout and Matt Thomson, mixed by Tim Shrout, and mastered by Matt Thomson.
