Welcome to the Monday Mix, where each week we highlight three standout songs debuting on the opbmusic broadcast.

Wilco -  “Love Is Everywhere (Beware)”

The Skinny: This beautiful, waltzy track is the lead single from the Chicago rock band’s 11th full-length album. That forthcoming release marks the end of Wilco’s almost 3 year long hiatus, which resulted in a flurry of solo activity from frontman Jeff Tweedy.

Release Date: The album “Ode To Joy” is out on Oct. 4 via dBpm records.

PNW Shows: Tweedy plays a solo show at THING in Port Townsend, Washington, on Aug. 25

Brittany Howard – “Stay High”

The Skinny: On this song from her solo debut release, Brittany Howard reminds us, yet again, that she has the greatest voice in rock music today. The Alabama Shakes singer and guitarist uses virtually every gear here and barely breaks a sweat.

Release Date: The album “Jaime” is out on Sept. 20 via ATO Records.

PNW Shows: None yet.

Hustle and Drone – “What An Uproar”

The Skinny: Dark, sleek, and danceable, this single from the Portland synth pop outfit (which features former Portugal. The Man member Ryan Neighbors) is the title track from a forthcoming album out later this year.

Release Date: “What An Uproar” does not currently have a release date.

PNW Shows: None at the moment. The band played a single release show earlier this month.
