The Rural Alberta Advantage are a loud folk band. Formed in Toronto in 2005, the group was nominated for a Polaris Music prize in 2011 and over the course of four albums, they’ve built a following for their muscular, percussive folk songs. Stompers like “Brother,” from their latest album “The Wild” marry dark lyrics to a beautifully animated video about early space exploration.
