We’ve teamed up with Banana Stand Media this year to premiere a series of videos recorded in and around Portland featuring local musicians. Like opbmusic, Banana Stand is celebrating their 10th anniversary this year. In that decade, they’ve recorded and released nearly a hundred live concert albums from (mostly) local musicians and expanded rapidly into the realm of video production in recent years. Now, the DIY production company is one of the most prolific documentarians of Portland’s robust music scene.

The latest video in this series features The Duke Of Norfolk, a folk project led by musician Adam Howard who is based just over the Columbia River from Portland in Vancouver, Washington. Here, he performs an informal living room version of the sleepy folk ballad “As The Heralds Revere You.”

The Duke Of Norfolk has an upcoming show in Portland at White Eagle Saloon on Nov. 4.

“As The Heralds Revere You” was performed by The Duke of Norfolk and was recorded June 17, 2018 in Vancouver, Washington. The video was shot and edited by Darren Hartman. Audio for this video was recorded and mixed by Matt Thompson.
